Andrew Jones has been selected as the new Postmaster of Katy, effective September 13. The announcement was made by David Camp, District Manager for USPS Texas District 2 in the September 5 edition of the USPSNewsbreak newsletter.
According to the newsletter, Jones began his postal career 26 years ago as a part-time flex city carrier at Westbrae Station in Houston. In 2010, after graduating from the Supervisory Program, he was promoted to Supervisor Customer Service. Over the course of his career, he has served as Customer Service Operations Manager for Areas III, IV and V. Jones has also served as customer service manager at Fleetwood, Fairbanks, Richhill and Katy Annex. He also completed the managerial leadership program in 2023.
Jones is a proud alumnus of Texas Southern University where he became a member of Kappa Kappy Psi Fraternity. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, fishing, travelling and coaching youth baseball for his nonprofit organization, Storm Baseball.
