Presales have started in the new Johnson Development community of Grange just as the community gets ready to break ground on its first park, the company announced in a press release on October 21.
Highland Homes is now selling in Grange, located in Katy at Morton Road and FM 2855. The builder is offering 13 floor plans priced from the $600,000s and designed for 60-foot lots. The one- and two-story designs range from 2,700 to 3,900 square feet and offer three to six bedrooms and three to five full baths. Each floor plan also has a range of exteriors to choose from.
“We’ve been pushing hard for this day, so it’s exciting to see home sales begin,” said Jacob W. Rice, Vice President and General Manager of Grange. “This is just the beginning of what will be a new take on small town living in the vibrant Katy area.”
Other builders in Grange — Chesmar Homes, David Weekley Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes and Westin Homes — are expected to begin sales soon.
The Johnson Development community is also expected to break ground soon on Henley Park, a 1-acre expanse that will be the first of several parks in Grange. Henley Park will feature playground space for children ages two to 12 and a covered pavilion. An open lawn will allow for impromptu games and resident events planned by the community lifestyle director. Trails will connect Henley Park to homes. Clark Condon is the designer of Henley Park.
“We’re projecting Henley Park to be open by next summer in time for our first residents to take full advantage of the outdoor space,” Rice said.
Lakes and green space will feature prominently in the 1,130-acre community. The initial phase will have 301 homesites, and the community is expected to accommodate approximately 2,400 homes at completion. Young residents will attend schools within the Katy Independent School District. For more information, visit www.liveingrange.com.
