Royal ISD invites parents, staff, community members, and local business leaders to become part of an exciting opportunity to shape the future of the district. The Falcon Planning Committee is now forming, the district announced in an April 22 press release.
“As Royal ISD continues to experience rapid student enrollment growth, your voice and perspective are more important than ever,” the release said. “The district is assembling a diverse committee of stakeholders to evaluate current and future needs, develop solutions, and recommend a long-range plan that reflects the values of the Royal community.” Interested individuals may join the Falcon Planning Committee by visiting bit.ly/FalconHeroes to sign up.
The first committee kickoff meeting will take place on Thursday, May 1 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Royal Administration Building, 3714 FM 359, Pattison.
Committee members are expected to attend four to five collaborative sessions between May and July. During these meetings, members will:
· Hear from local and regional experts
· Review student growth data and projections
· Tour district facilities
· Evaluate current and future facility needs
· Help shape a proposed plan for Royal ISD’s future
· Support the community action campaign
· Present the final recommendation to the Royal ISD Board of Trustees
“This is more than a series of meetings—it’s a chance to help create a vision that will serve Royal ISD students, families, and staff for years to come,” said the district statement. “We need a broad range of voices at the table to ensure our plan reflects the full spirit and diversity of our community. This is your opportunity to invest in our tomorrow.” For more information and to register, visit bit.ly/FalconHeroes.
