Royal took home some huge honors on the District 10, 4A-Division II All-District team this year, spotlighting the team’s tremendous season and dominant showing throughout district this year.

The Falcons took home four of the top honors in the district, as they had the most players named to the superlatives list of any school in the district.

Jaylan Palmer earned Co-Defensive MVP honors, while Noah Lasker was named the Utility MVP and Mason Hartwell was named the districts newcomer of the year. Theadis Reagins and Royals’ coaching staff were also honored, as Reagins and his coaching staff were named the co-coaching staff of the year in the district along with the Columbia coaching staff.

Palmer ended the year with 31 tackles, including two tackles for loss while also intercepting three passes and causing a fumble. He helped lead a defense that allowed just 21 points per game on the year.

Lasker was a force all around the field for Royal this year. The senior caught 27 passes for 385 yards and five touchowns while also carrying the ball 62 times for 340 yards and five touchdowns. He also added six tackles defensively.

Hartwell excelled stepping into the quarterback role as a sophomore and earned newcomer of the year honors for it. Hartwell completed 137 of 229 attempts this season for 1787 yards and 18 touchowns to just six interceptions. He had a completion percentage of .598 and a quarterback rating of 99.7. Hartwell also added 265 yards and three touchowns on the ground, averaging over six yards per carry on the season while helping Royal average of 24 points per game offensive on the season.

Reagins and Royal’s coaching staff capped off the superlative awards by being named the co-coaching staff of the year after leading the Falcons to a 7-4 record, a 5-1 district record and a share of the district title. It’s a big moment for the program as players or coaches from Royal have won each of the six superlative awards at least once over Reagins four years in charge of the program.

Royal had two players be named to the first team offense in wide receiver Kamar Chavez Brown at wide receiver and Braylon Reado. at offensive line. On defense, Tyler Lavallier. was a unanimous choice for the first team and Jalen Bray joined him on the defensive line. Zaelyn Shelton earned a spot at outside linebacker and Tremaine Prophet was named to the team at cornerback while Malik Hooker was named to the team at inside linebacker.

On the second team, KJ Keller was named to the team at wide receiver, Izic Vega was named to the team at offensive line, Julius Gilmore made the team at defensive line, Chazren Barley was named to the team as a safety and Emilliano Rodriguez was named to the team as a kicker.
