Tree lighting returns to the rice dryers
In cooperation with the Katy Heritage Society, the J.V. Cardiff & Sons rice dryers revived a Katy tradition with the lighting of the tree atop the dryers on December 2. Taking place for the first time since 1999, the event was sponsored by BASE power company and featured lights and music at the venue at the parking lot of Katy Beer Garden, 5339 E. Third St. in Katy.
