VIPS event
Katy ISD’s legions of volunteers heard from keynote speaker Anne Neeson, executive vice president and CEO of the Memorial Hermann Foundation, at the annual “Volunteers in Public Schools” (VIPS) breakfast on May 1 at the Merrell Center, 6301 S. Stadium Lane in Katy. Neeson spoke about the value of volunteerism to the community and to its students, and gave tips for volunteering including “keep doing what you are doing” and taking on roles where work simply needs to be done, in addition to “great roles.”
