The Royal Education Foundation held its annual fundraising gala on May 1 at Hemi Hideout, 1172 Wilpitz Road in Brookshire, to raise money for teacher grants and other district causes. The “Denim & Diamonds” event featured an array of food and drink along with a silent auction, live auction and a lively version of “Heads or Tails” led by former Royal CTE Director Nick Gonzales, who is now with Katy ISD. Attendees included current and former district employees, including Superintendent Megan Pape, and community members.
