Lowe’s officially opens at Texas Heritage Marketplace
City of Katy Mayor Dusty Thiele (center, with power tool) cuts the ceremonial board to officially open the new Lowe’s at Texas Heritage Marketplace at 981 Heritage Oak Lane in Katy on September 4. Joining the mayor are (left to right) City Council member Paul Follis, Mayor Pro Tem Gina Hicks, Lowe’s Store Manager Mike Spall, city council members Michael Meihls and Johnston Dietz, the Fulshear High School cheerleaders and the Lowe’s Bucket. The 95,000 sq. ft. facility will employ more than 100 associates, officials said. During the grand opening celebration, Lowe’s presented $1,000 checks to the Katy Police Department, the Katy Fire Department and local nonprofit Eyes On Me, which operates The Hangar in Brookshire.
