This month the Story Peddler bookstore in Bellville welcomes back ReShonda Tate to celebrate the recent release of her newest novel, “With Love from Harlem.” The work of historical fiction takes place in Harlem in 1943 and is set against the pulsing backdrop of the time, featuring icons including Billie Holiday, Lanston Hughes and James Baldwin. The book is an emotionally charged romantic drama, rich with historical detail, delivering a powerful portrait of love, art and the price of being unforgettable.
Tate will be at the store at 538 W. Main in Bellville on February 26 from 6 to 7 p.m. She will read a selection from her book, answer questions, and sign copies of her book. The store is already carrying copies of “With Love from Harlem,” which will be for sale, but purchase is not mandatory. This event is free and open to the public.
