William Louis Morillon III, age 86, known to everyone as “Willie”, passed away peacefully on July 3rd by the side of his loving wife, Anne. He was a devoted husband, father, and a proud grandfather.

Born on October 13, 1939 to William L. Morillon II and Katherine Amber Morillon in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He grew up in a small town with a strong desire to see more of the world. From 1957 to 1962, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. From 1963 to 1976, he worked a demanding but rewarding career in the oil field working offshore in Norway, South Africa, and Scotland, and eventually, went on to be a construction manager in the building of new rigs in Singapore and Hong Kong.

In 1976, Willie and Anne opened their own rental business, AIM Rentals. It was demanding work, but through steadfast determination it flourished. Their hard work allowed them to provide for their family, and then after 20 years, retire and enjoy 27 years of retirement together.

He was a man of faith and community spirit. He was a parishioner of Epiphany of the Lord from its founding until 2015. When St. Faustina formed they became members of that parish. He was also an active member of the Katy Elks Lodge for over 45 years, and a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He volunteered many hours at the lodge and cooked the best “designer” fries. He loved the outdoors and rarely missed a hunting season. In quieter moments, he found peace fishing and tending to his beloved garden. He loved family vacations to the beach.

Known as “Papa” to his grandsons, he was always ready for a friendly game of dominoes or Fast Track. When the boys were younger, he read them books and spent many hours with them in his swimming pool. He was always there for them. For many years, he was an avid bridge player with groups and finally joined the Katy Seniors for regular Thursday games. He often left with a smile and his winnings.

He shared 62 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life. Together they spent many weeks at Crystal Beach lounging on the deck or fishing in their favorite spots.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Anne, his two daughters, Anne Marie, Michelle and her husband, Joseph Burrus; and his four grandsons, Bradlee, Nicholas, Colin, and Joshua Burrus. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Morillon Babin.
