Katy Spring Market blooms at the Merrell Center April 20-21

Join the 16th Annual Spring Market at the Katy Merrell Center, 6301 S. Stadium Lane in Katy, for a weekend of shopping with handmade crafts, home decor, jewelry, holiday accessories, children's gifts, clothing boutiques and more. Enjoy the fun while shopping and supporting 130 small businesses. Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Concessions will be available onsite and multiple food vendors with snacks and baked goodies. Admission $5. Katy Crossing Icehouse invites all makes and models to “take your top off” on Sunday, April 28th from 1 to 4 p.m. Organizers invite you to “bring those beauties out and put them on display” at the watering hole at Second Street in historic downtown Katy. HerWell sets ‘More than Just a Mom’ conference for May 4th

‘Talk Derby To Me’ at Christ Clinic’s annual fundraiser on May 4th

‘Talk Derby To Me” is back for 2024 at Agave Estates! This Kentucky Derby-theme event will take place at 1250 FM 1463 in Katy, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 4th. Organizers have planned the function as an indoor/outdoor event so no matter what the weather – they are prepared! Texas downpours – no problem. Texas heat – no problem. Relax and “UnWINEd” at Nelson Water Gardens’ ‘Sip & Stroll’ on May 4th

Nelson Water Gardens, located at 1502 Katy Fort Bend Road in Katy, will host a “Sip & Stroll” event where you can wander through their gardens while enjoying wine, beer and snacks. The free event will last from 5 to 7 p.m. on May 4th.

Coastal Prairie Conservancy hosts ‘Pocket Prairie and Great Grow Out’ workshop on May 5

Join the Coastal Prairie Conservancy from 2 to 4 p.m. on May 5th at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 5373 Franz in Katy for a hands-on pocket prairie and native plant grow-out workshop designed for Communities of Faith. Staff from the Coastal Prairie Conservancy and the Native Prairies Association of Texas will lead participants in lessons on pocket prairie establishment, plant propagation and sourcing, biodiversity surveys, and will explain how their organizations can support your efforts to foster nature on your grounds. Participants will go home with germination trays, soil, and native seeds to grow out for restoration projects. Open to ages 10 and up. In partnership with Interfaith Environmental Network of Texas. Katy Public Library holds free vaccination event on May 11th

Join Harris County Public Health at the Katy Branch Library, 5414 Franz Road in Katy, for a vaccination event. On May 11th, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., the healthcare organization will have adult immunizations, child immunizations, COVID-19 vaccines, and flu vaccines. Adults (19 years or older) are eligible with NO health insurance. Children (0-18 years old) are eligible with Medicaid/CHIP or no insurance or if they are Alaskan Native/Native American. Schedule an appointment by calling 832-927-7350 or visit vacstrac.hctx.net to schedule a COVID immunization appointment. Appointments are preferred; however, walk-ins are welcome.
