The Dynamo continue to falter as they dropped a 3-1 contest against Austin FC and the Dynamo are now winless in their last four games.
Just like last time Houston played Austin, things started well for the Dynamo, as Adalberto Carrasquilla got them on the board on a shot from the left side of the box.
But Austin FC worked themselves back into the game and just four minutes later tied things off a goal from Diego Fagundez as both teams went into the half with a goal.
But the Dynamo were unable to rebound in the second half as Austin FC soared to a new level.
Maximiliano Urruti scored the go ahead goal in the 57th minute before Alexander Ring padded the lead with a third for Austin FC 13 minutes later.
Steve Clark came up with two saves late in the game and Darwin Quintero almost got a goal in the 84th minute off a pass from Hector Herrera, but the Dynamo were unable to answer back, despite having a number of late chances, as Austin FC goalkeeper Griffin Dorsey had a very strong day in net.
The loss puts the Dynamo at 6-10-4 in the Western Conference, as they sit in 11th place and five points back of a playoff spot. Meanwhile, Austin FC sits in first place in the conference. The Dynamo have now earned just one point over four Copa Tejas games while Austin FC lead Texas teams with seven points over their three games against Copa Tejas opponents.
