Henry Dale McReynolds was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, to George J. McReynolds and Lois Crain McReynolds on November 19, 1943. He was the youngest of four sons. He grew up in Caseyville, Illinois. As a young man, Henry and his family were involved with the Boy Scouts of America and attended Methodist Youth Fellowship. He later worked with his father in the St. Louis Shipyards.
Henry enlisted in the Army to fight for his country. He was stationed in Germany and served in Vietnam. When he was stationed in Texas, he met the love of his life, Janet Lesikar. They married in 1969 in San Antonio, Texas. Henry graduated from San Antonio College and later continued his education at the University of Houston. He went on to work with multiple oil related companies including Exmar Offshore.
He was a loving devoted family man. He never met a stranger and always helped everyone in need. He and his family attended Faith West Church where he was involved with the Royal Rangers, and more recently, he and his family attended New Life Church of Houston, Texas.
Henry was preceded in death by his father George J. McReynolds, his mother, Lois Crain McReynolds, and eldest brother, William R. McReynolds.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, brothers, Jack McReynolds, and Ed McReynolds, his wife, Louella, & children. His children, Angela Porter, Joseph B. McReynolds and wife Carolyn, Laura McReynolds Smith and Jared, and his grandchildren, Nathan, Natalie and Cody Peyres, Matthew, Marissa, Joshua, Austin, and Roman, and step-grandchildren Lauren, Gage, and great grandchildren, Beaux, Wyatt, Adeline, Guy and Lucia. And many nephews, nieces and cousins who loved him dearly.
A service to celebrate his life will be February 11, 2023, at 11 am.
