Malcolm LeRoy Repka
Malcolm LeRoy Repka was born on October 15, 1939, in Hempstead, Texas to Roland and Grace Dreahn Repka. He grew up in Hempstead, Texas and graduated from Waller High School, where he was voted Honorable All State in Football and even had a football scholarship to the University of Oklahoma, before failing a physical due to his injuries sustained during his senior year of high school. This also prevented him from entrance into the military. He owned M.L. Repka Contractor and worked hard for many years in Katy. He also volunteered and drove a pumper truck with the Katy Fire Department. He was determined, honest, and stubborn. For over 20 years, he had coffee at Snappy’s three times a day, until his health prevented him from going. He loved to dance and listen to good music, and he spent many enjoyable days on the water on Lake Somerville, driving the boat for friends and family while they skied, as well as fishing. He was also an avid deer hunter and anxiously awaited opening day for deer season every year. He loved and was loved by so many family members and friends. He will be missed.
