Royal Prairie Elementary has been recognized by the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) and Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) with Stars of Distinction in Design and Wellness, Royal ISD announced on its Facebook page on October 5.

Royal Prairie Elementary will be featured in the 2026–27 Exhibit of School Architecture, which celebrates excellence in the planning and design of learning environments across Texas, the district said in the post. The exhibit will be on display at txEDCON 2026 on October 9–10 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.

“Congratulations to our partners at Stantec, the architects behind Royal Prairie Elementary, and to everyone who helped bring this exceptional learning environment to life,” the district said in its Facebook post. “We are proud to see Royal Prairie Elementary and Royal ISD represented among outstanding school facilities from across the state.”

The school is located in the Sunterra neighborhood at 7560 Bartlett Road in Katy. It opened in 2025 as Royal ISD’s first suburban neighborhood campus.
