The Fulshear Katy Area Chamber of Commerce presented a panel of local experts who gave an update on healthcare at the organization’s quarterly luncheon February 7th at Gauchos Do Sul, 910 West Grand Parkway South. Panelists were (left to right) Freddy Frederick, owner of 4Ever Young Anti Aging Solutions Katy; Jay Donnella, who manages Population Health Communications for local charity clinic Christ Clinic; Jason Brown, general manager of ER Katy; and Dr. Craig Nemow of Chiro Dynamics. Each participant described his decision to enter the health care profession and related some of the most impactful moments of their careers and how technology and innovations such as AI have changed the healthcare system. All expressed concerns over how the availability and price of healthcare is currently managed, with many decisions dictated by insurance companies, they said. Panelists advised small business owners to provide health coverage and wellness programs for their employees as a way to attract and retain staff while boosting morale and productivity. Affordable options discussed included Christ Clinic’s employer-sponsored membership.
