Grundfos funds BPD patrol car wrap to promote breast cancer awareness, among October community projects
On September 30, Brookshire Police Department unveiled its pink patrol car – designed to create more awareness for breast cancer during October. The awareness effort helps bring the community together, said BPD Chief of Police Holly Green (fourth from left) The customized wrap was funded by the U.S. headquarters of Grundfos, located at 902 Koomey Road in Brookshire. The project is just one of many underway at the company, a leading global manufacturer of pumps and residential, commercial and industrial water solutions, said Ansell Sims, Grundfos Country President USA (fifth from left). Grundfos employees were busy that day supporting “Barnyard Buddies” for special needs children at the Waller County Fair, with many employees also preparing to attend the Astros game later that evening, courtesy of the company. Grundfos also donated 250 tickets to the September 29 Astros playoffs game to area first responders. “We believe in supporting the community,” said Sims.
